Paras Dasot (15 Aug 1945 – 13th Sep 2014) was born in Baru, Rajasthan. He joined Jodhpur university and graduated in 1965.
He painted impressionistic landscapes in modern style. On the basis of nature, concepts and colour of Sun and Tree, he evoked his own style from 1987 onwards. The period of 2000 to 2014 displayed the wonderful heights reached in his style. Dasot painted nature subjects with modern techniques and his works presented his experimental attitude. He created a distinctive style of drawing and painting, especially the Sun and Tree, so predominant as to attract the attention of the viewer. His lines in his works are life, rhythmic but sensitive and fascinating. His bright colour combinations are fresh and pleasing and his colour harmonies are varied, rich and precise.
Paras Ganpati Collection – A Dance of My Eyes
It was another day of my journey of my art-creation. It was a day of 1987 when one of my neighbor whose house was near to my Ganj Basoda (MP) house was about to cut a branch of a tree in his premises. As I was constantly peeping into what was happening in his premises, he asked Do you want this branch for your collection?
Since I collect natural objects, I quickly nodded. Soon my neighbor sent the branch to my house. Next morning when I was trying to figure out an art pattern on the branch I was amazed! The patterns on the branch posed a six feet long figure of dancing Lord Ganesha and I soon realized that Lord Ganesha has given His first grand appearance in my courtyard. The work of art became my first addition to the Paras Ganpati Collection and it became my inspiration and my lucky charm. more>>

Sculptor
I worked extensively on creating coal sculptures from 1970 to 2006. During this long period, I dedicated myself to mastering the art of shaping and carving coal into unique and meaningful forms.
Discoverer
For nearly 26 years, I have been searching for natural shapes in different types of wood, stones, and pebbles. During this journey, I have discovered around 3,000 natural formations of Lord Ganesha in various unique poses and forms.

I have a collection that includes natural wood and stone, along with works by renowned artists such as M. F. Husain, A. A. Almelkar, Bhau Samarth, and Poet Nagarjun, among others.
